Title: OPH100 Human Anatomy and Physiology for OMTs Part I
Course Description:
Part I of a two-part course covers the structure and functions of the human body. Topics include the organization of the body, cellular activities, embryology, tissues, the integument (skin), the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of taking this course the student will be able to:
Describe the basics in the property of atoms, acids, bases; which are the biological/organic molecules that makeup the human structure.
Describe the structure of eukaryotic/human cell and its component organelles along with its functions.
Describe the various histological components for each organ of the body and its functional correlation.
Describe the components of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems and the interactions of these systems with the rest of the body.
